GREENTRACE addresses the gaps of competences of youth workers, sport leaders and environmental educators, in providing effective active sustainable learning to young people.


The need for SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION arises from young people's demand to create innovative, youth-driven solutions to face the climate crisis.

GREENTRACE is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme - Cooperation partnerships in Youth

MAIN GOAL

Develop new approaches of active outdoor education, to promote green awareness and to embed sustainable behaviours among young people.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

a)    Support a sport-sustainability strategy, combining a new outdoor education with active approaches in different European territorial contexts

b)    Enhance the competencies of youth workers and other operators working with youth, through the development of new designs of sustainable learning in multidisciplinary contexts

c)    Improve the effectiveness of new approaches in sustainability education developing new assessment systems in the context of non-formal/informal learning

d)    Create an innovative method of sustainable education applicable in different learning contexts

e)    Increase youth leaders' ability to foster the inclination of young people to explore as a method of participation, connecting youth to territories and communities
